Cedric Michael Stroud

Cedric Michael Stroud is the Founder and CEO of The African American History Publishing Company, LLC. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Cedric’s lifelong dedication to preserving and celebrating Black history began with a pivotal moment in his childhood that ignited a passion for uncovering the untold contributions of African descendants in STEM. Over the course of 45 years, he has conducted extensive independent research at his own expense, delving into patents, inventions, and the stories of countless innovators whose work has shaped the world. Cedric has contributed his expertise to notable projects, including the Washington, D.C.-based PinPoints Theatre Company’s “1001 Black Inventions” play, and has written for esteemed publications like the Washington Afro-American and the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder.

With a professional background spanning roles as a Library Technician at the Library of Congress to Senior Software Engineer and Project Manager for the U.S. House of Representatives, Cedric brings meticulous attention to detail and a deep commitment to education. An ordained elder and community leader, he also serves as an Associate Minister and has held numerous roles supporting youth, education, and ministry. His dedication to empowering others through knowledge is the driving force behind The African American History Publishing Company, ensuring that the contributions of Black inventors and scientists are celebrated and remembered for generations to come.
